Ep. 20: Steng holds Kanchomé and Folgore hostage to force Zatch and Kiyo to surrender their red spellbook.

Steng threatens to kill Kanchomé and Parco Folgore unless Zatch and Kiyo hand over their red spellbook. After receiving the book, Steng attacks them with a whip and reveals he kidnapped Professor Takamine for money. Baltro and Steng attempt to finish off the group, but Kory retrieves the spellbook, allowing Kanchomé and Folgore to break free from the knight statues. Kiyo memorizes the positions of the cursed flowers controlling the enemies, and Zatch destroys them. Baltro emerges from his armor and attacks Parco Folgore. Steng uses Baltro's Zeberu to collapse the castle and escape with Baltro. The group frees the remaining kidnappers, including Kiyo's father, but Kory's parents remain locked deeper in the dungeon. The boys search for them as the castle crumbles, but everyone survives. Outside, the boy who bribed Steng destroys Baltro's and Steng's spellbooks.
