Ep. 46: Ponygon seeks a partner but joins a thief named Doronma who robs jewelry stores and mansions.
After being defeated by Bari, Zatch and Kiyo suffer physical and mental wounds. Feeling regret for never battling, Ponygon leaves with his spell book to find a human partner. He offers the book to passersby, but receives no attention until he meets Doronma, a man with a horsey face. Doronma claims to distribute presents to the poor and invites Zatch and Ponygon to assist him. They venture into the city at night, but Doronma actually breaks into jewelry stores, revealing himself as a famous thief. He leads them to infiltrate a high-security mansion, where the duo only causes trouble. The police eventually surround them. It is revealed that Doronma had merely noticed a dead fly on the spell book. Shocked, Ponygon returns home while Zatch consoles him.
