Ep. 8: Zatch and Kiyo confront Kolulu after her transformation causes chaos in town

Lori adopts an orphan named Kolulu, and the pair bond like sisters. While Kiyo is at school, Zatch visits a park and sees Lori playing with a doll that reminds him of Volcan 300. Jealous of the attention Lori gives Kolulu, Zatch desires similar affection from Kiyo. Lori later finds a strange book in Kolulu’s backpack that grants powers when she says Zeruku. Kolulu transforms and attacks townspeople, forcing Zatch and Kiyo to intervene. Zatch realizes the Mamodo is Kolulu and that she does not wish to fight, so he stops his attacks. Kolulu learns her second spell, Zerusen. Ultimately, Zatch burns her book, leaving Lori sad and alone. He promises Kolulu he will become a kind king to end the Mamodo battles.
