Chateau and Son seek refuge in a homeless camp to treat Son’s injuries. Nikka vows to kill Son to atone for helping him escape. The pair awkwardly thank each other for their mutual rescue. Donny halts Nikka’s pursuit of Son but insists they locate Chateau, whom he has sought since her childhood. Son picks pockets for money, revealing he learned criminal skills before literacy due to a difficult past, which makes Chateau feel guilty. She questions Donny’s organization and their interest in her, but Son refuses to explain. When Chateau attempts to leave to investigate, Son threatens her wrist to maintain control but relents, admitting he cannot bear to lose her after years of searching. A flashback reveals Donny tasked Ryang-ha with protecting Lizst Noble, during which time Son was saved from child traffickers.
