Ordered by the Queen, Ciel travels to Houndsworth, a resort village ruled by nobleman Henry Barrymore. The location is actually dark and inhabited by a demon dog. Angela Blanc, a maid working for Henry, warns Ciel and Sebastian to leave immediately. They witness a death caused by the creature. When a bad dog faces punishment, Finnian intervenes. This action results in Finnian, Bard, Mey-Rin, and Tanaka being tied to a post, while Ciel is chained to a wall. Sebastian later reveals that Henry Barrymore used a projection silhouette of a dog's face to fake the demon, proving his guilt in the scheme.
