Ep. 3: Mirai confronts Hollow Shadow while Akihito intervenes against Sakura Inami
Mirai fails to kill a youmu until Mitsuki intervenes, offering a stone she rejects. Miroku Fujima discusses the Hollow Shadow with Izumi Nase. At school, Akihito fails to recruit Mirai to the Literary Club. Mitsuki shares sensitive info from Iori Ichinomiya, revealing Mirai’s past with the Inami clan and her killing of Yui Inami. As the Hollow Shadow enters Nagatsuki City, casting a purple glow, Akihito tries to stop Mirai. She admits her fear-driven murder of her friend. Ignoring Akihito’s pleas, Mirai heads to the city limits where Spirit World Warriors set barriers. Influenced by malice, Mirai prepares to fight but is attacked by Sakura Inami. The Hollow Shadow throws them into the city. Akihito stops Sakura, claiming Mirai still does not understand him.
