Hiro discovers his 0.5% survival chance depends on enduring Tesla's five-day training and surviving a goblin attack. He tells Kaede he will remain in the game for five days. Inside, Tesla introduces him to Queen Govern. Hiro meets recruits Granada and Palù, alongside soldiers Cathy and Bob. His trainer is Amos, who arrested him for Martin's murder. Hiro fails against Amos, realizing his lack of combat ability, and faces ostracism. He oversleeps on day two, practicing alone while Granada and Palù bully him as a friend killer. Cathy offers to teach him basics. On day three, Granada beats Hiro in a duel, mocking him further. Hiro recognizes their behavior mirrors his real-life bullies.
