A past typhoon saw Kenji cross to Nanami's house, but during a current storm, she visits him instead. Nanami suffers severe stomach pain, and with communications down, Kenji transports her to the hospital in a hand cart. After her appendectomy, he tends to her garden. While riding his motorbike to bring her home, unaware that Suzuka and others have already done so, the rain-damaged road collapses beneath him. Nanami searches the garden for Kenji, unaware of his accident. This episode highlights their bond through shared hardship and the sudden dangers of the storm, contrasting past comfort with present crisis.
