Ep. 14: Riki reunites with Mio at the beach after she transforms into a bird and merges with Midori.

Riki struggles with uncertain memories of Mio while Midori manipulates his recollections. Seeking guidance, Kyousuke advises Riki to trust only himself. Riki discovers a tanka poem about a paper airplane conversation, leading him to find Mio at the beach. Mio explains that Midori was an imaginary sister created in childhood, whom her mother forgot after medical treatment. Reading a poem by Bokusui Wakayama caused Mio to black out and lose her shadow. Riki pleads for her return, but she turns into a bird. After a phone call from Midori, Riki enters the ocean, where Mio and Midori merge back into one person. They return to the beach with Mio’s shadow restored and rejoin the Little Busters at school.
