Riki discovers Komari Kamikita on the school roof and attempts to recruit her for the baseball team, though he doubts her suitability. Meanwhile, Rin neglects her duties to play with cats, one of which carries notes revealing a secret world accessible through specific tasks. The first task requires fixing a sanitation issue in the boys' dorm storage shack. Although Riki questions the notes' authenticity, Rin rallies Kyousuke, Riki, and Masato to clean the shack. Komari joins them and agrees to join the baseball team, but only after helping with the cleanup. On the field, Komari shows poor athletic skills, yet Kyousuke accepts her based on her answer regarding guts, bravery, and friendship. Shortly after, Riki suffers a narcolepsy attack, a condition he has endured since childhood.
