During morning practice, Rin lacks enthusiasm while Masato returns a damaged idiom dictionary to Riki. Haruka Saigusa borrows the book, leading Riki to chase her and collide with Yuiko Kurugaya, a genius student often absent from class. Later, Yuiko intercepts Riki near a vending machine and takes him to a secluded spot with a wooden box. They converse until the class bell rings, forcing Riki to rush back. Haruka returns the dictionary, criticizing its condition. When Masato and Kengo are about to fight, Yuiko intervenes, causing Kengo to lose interest. Yuiko and Masato then engage in a conflict based on rules established by Kyousuke. Yuiko wins after kicking Masato multiple times. Subsequently, Yuiko observes the Little Busters practice and joins the team, proving to be a valuable member.
