Ep. 10: Fujiko investigates an archaeopteryx fossil for Mihail while Lupin follows her into the museum vault.
Aired on December 19, 2021

Fujiko examines an archaeopteryx fossil at the British Natural History Museum for a man named Mihail, Michael, or Miguel, who represents a lord seeking to steal the specimen. Unearthed in a Solnhofen, Germany quarry in 1861, two years after Charles Darwin published On the Origin of Species, the fossil is suspected by Mihail's employer to be a forgery by Karl Häberlein. Mihail demands the original from a secure vault regardless of its authenticity. Fujiko infiltrates the vault with Lupin trailing her. They locate the fossil, but Lupin discovers a massive replica in an adjacent chamber. This sight reminds Fujiko of a Fallen angel, leading her to suspect Mihail serves God. Consequently, she abandons the theft contract.
