During midsummer, Louie works as a porter, and Ila joins him on the job. He witnesses unexpected snowfall, prompting a return to the Guild. There, Ila receives a letter from Master Banarl, a magician who retired to the Tower of the Four Great Magics to conduct weather control research. He requests that the group travel to the tower to investigate his situation. The party encounters an elf named Celecia, who decides to accompany them. Their journey proves difficult as they face blizzards and hostile nature spirits that obstruct their path toward the tower.
