The magician attempts arson, but Miyuki Shiba intervenes and defeats him. This event attracts the attention of First High School student council president Mayumi Saegusa and Public Morals Committee head Mari Watanabe. They recognize Miyuki Shiba as a student and decide to recruit her for the school.

Deciding to investigate the assailant, Honoka, Shizuku, and Eimi establish the Girl's Detective Club to monitor Tatsuya during subsequent incidents. That night, Tatsuya informs Miyuki that the girls have been observing him. The next day, the club discovers that kendo team captain Kinoe Tsukasa is responsible for the attack on Tatsuya.
