With their regular teacher absent, Liz supervises a water manipulation exam where students shape magic wands. While peers focus on personal symbols, Riko obsessively attempts to replicate Liz’s complex elephant form, growing frustrated by her inability to succeed. She confides in Mirai about her admiration for Liz, who gifted her the Diamond pendant, yet feels she cannot meet her sister's high standards. Spalda interrupts the session with an Hourglass Yokubal, injuring Liz. Driven by a desire to protect her sibling, Riko employs the Aquamarine Linkle Stone to freeze the Yokubal, enabling her and Mirai to defeat the enemy. After the other girls pass their tests, Riko successfully creates a frozen pendant, finally earning Liz's approval.
