In the present day, Anos, known globally as the Demon King of Tyranny, enrolls at Demon King Academy under the alias Anoshu. To strengthen the demons, Erdomaid launches the Great Demon King Drills initiative. The first phase of this program involves swordsmanship instruction provided by Shin. This training aims to enhance the combat abilities of the students at the academy. The narrative connects past events with current educational efforts to prepare demons for future challenges through rigorous practice and mentorship.

Anos and Emilia Visit Hero Academy to Investigate Dragon Sighting

Anos and his companions travel to Azeshion to investigate a dragon sighting by visiting the Hero Academy under the guise of an exchange program. Emilia, who teaches at the academy, struggles to generate enthusiasm among the students, particularly Ledriano. The situation worsens when Zamira, the headmaster, issues a decree to slay the dragon. As Emilia opposes this unreasonable order, the Hero Academy students gradually lose interest in the exchange initiative.

Anos and Students Enter the Institute of the Gods for Judgment Selection

Erdomaid trains students to defeat a dragon, resulting in an actual summoning. Anos and his students ride to the dragon's nest, reaching the underground world where draconids reside. Guided by Ahide, the attacker from the previous night, they travel to the Institute of the Gods, Everastanzetta. Upon arrival, Anos is informed that he is involved in the Judgment Selection.

Emilia and students struggle with dragon-slaying magic while Lay meets King Lysius.

Students at the Hero Academy try to use the De Jerias spell to defeat dragons, but their attempt fails due to poor coordination with Laos and others. Witnessing their helplessness, Emilia reflects on the situation. In a separate event, Lay, invited as a hero, meets Lysius, the king of Gairadite. The king requests Lay's assistance in curing the sick royal family members. Upon arriving at the designated location, Lay discovers an unexpected sight that challenges his expectations regarding the royal family's condition and the nature of the request.

Dragon Horde Threatens Azeshion as Students Fight Alone

A massive dragon horde advances on Azeshion, prompting Hero Academy students to defend their homeland independently of Anos and his allies. Under Emilia’s command, they engage in a perilous confrontation. Concurrently, Lay and Misa are captured by Lysius, leaving them in a precarious position. Meanwhile, Anos travels to the underground world to address the crisis. There, he discovers that Ahide is manipulating the Draconids. This revelation drives Anos to take necessary action to resolve the escalating threat facing the region and its inhabitants.

Ahide Announces Midhaze's Destruction While Shin Joins the Conflict

Ahide declares that Midhaze will be destroyed, though the oracle's will opposes Arcana's true intentions. Shin joins the battle as the two finally face off. Ahide possesses Arcana and thrusts the judgement of the Sword of the Almighty, Leviangilma, upon Anos. Arcana states that to destroy Ahide, he must be slashed three times with the Divine Sword. However, the sword obliterates the source of anyone who draws the sword from its sheath.

Anos dreams of Arcana and investigates mysteries as a lecturer in the underground world.

Anos experiences a dream recalling his past life with a girl named Arcana. He also considers the issue of the draconids referring to the fusion of Sasha and Misha as the Goddess of Absurdity, Genedonov. To resolve these various mysteries, Anos travels to the underground world to attend a special class. There, he assumes the role of a special lecturer and personally instructs the students at the Demon King Academy.

Anos Pursues Ahide in Giorhaze After Securing a Dragon-Summoning Jewel

Anos arrives in Giorhaze, the capital of the underground nation Giordal, and follows a suspicious Erdomaid to a church. There, they acquire a Pledge Jewel capable of summoning a dragon. Erdomaid observes Naya’s aptitude and forms a pact with her as part of a plan. Meanwhile, Anos learns of Ahide’s movements from the church bishop. He decides to capture Ahide before the latter can meet the Pope.

The Sojourner's Psalm faces cancellation as Ellen's choir performs at the Dragon Festival

Ahide's plot threatens to cancel the Sojourner's Psalm performance at the Festival of the Divine Dragon. Ellen and the Fan Union members step in to perform as the Dilhade Demon King Choir. Their singing captivates the draconids, who join in the song. Meanwhile, Anos pursues Ahide but encounters Diedrich, the king of Agatha. Diedrich has received a prophecy from the future god Nafta. The episode highlights the musical performance and the separate investigation into Ahide's actions, connecting the choir's success with the political intrigue surrounding the Agatha king and the mysterious prophecy.
