Ep. 3: Shuri forms a club to understand Matsugoro's song while Setsu struggles with performance pressure.
Shuri is discovered listening to Matsugoro's improvised shamisen piece Shungyou, prompting Setsu to inquire about her knowledge of the track. Shuri explains that her grandmother met Matsugoro during her childhood evacuation to the countryside, inspiring her to establish the Tsugaru Shamisen Appreciation Club to find someone who comprehends the song's meaning. Since the piece varies with every performance, Setsu advises Shuri to abandon the quest. Consequently, Yui Yamazoto and Kaito Yaguchi join the group, with Keiko Koyabu serving as advisor. Koyabu notes that the damaged shamisen in the room belonged to alumnus Kousuke Ogata, known as Kamiki Seiryuu. The club attends his concert to inquire about the instrument, but Seiryuu's indifference angers Setsu, who then delivers a poor performance when asked to play. Although lost in thought, Setsu is eventually persuaded to perform for Shuri's grandmother.
