Apr 3, 2021Following the passing of his grandfather, shamisen player Matsugorou Sawamura, Setsu Sawamura relocates from Aomori to Tokyo, having abandoned his instrument. After fainting in Roppongi, he is rescued by aspiring actress Yuna Tachiki. The group spends time together, including with Taketo, a rock guitarist. Setsu remembers he quit playing due to his grandfather's final wish. Before Taketo’s concert, tension rises, causing delays that irritate the crowd. To resolve the situation, Setsu performs an impromptu shamisen piece that gains viral attention. As spring begins, Yuna departs her talent agency to pursue better opportunities, sharing this decision with Setsu.
EP 2Setsu performs for neighbors and starts school while bonding with his brother before he leaves for Aomori.
Apr 10, 2021Umeko Sawamura carries an unconscious Setsu to their new boarding house home. Upon waking, Setsu plays the shamisen while Umeko sings, drawing a crowd. Although he breaks a string during the performance, the neighborhood approves of his music, allowing him to practice at home. The following day, Setsu enrolls at Umezono Academy and befriends Shuri Maeda, who shares his interest in the shamisen and discovers a broken instrument in the music prep room. After classes, Setsu receives a new shamisen case from his supportive older brother, Wakana, who is preparing to return to Aomori. The brothers perform together in a local park, strengthening their bond. Before departing, Wakana offers his blessing to Setsu.

Apr 17, 2021Shuri is discovered listening to Matsugoro's improvised shamisen piece Shungyou, prompting Setsu to inquire about her knowledge of the track. Shuri explains that her grandmother met Matsugoro during her childhood evacuation to the countryside, inspiring her to establish the Tsugaru Shamisen Appreciation Club to find someone who comprehends the song's meaning. Since the piece varies with every performance, Setsu advises Shuri to abandon the quest. Consequently, Yui Yamazoto and Kaito Yaguchi join the group, with Keiko Koyabu serving as advisor. Koyabu notes that the damaged shamisen in the room belonged to alumnus Kousuke Ogata, known as Kamiki Seiryuu. The club attends his concert to inquire about the instrument, but Seiryuu's indifference angers Setsu, who then delivers a poor performance when asked to play. Although lost in thought, Setsu is eventually persuaded to perform for Shuri's grandmother.

Setsu serves as instructor but quits due to frustration over poor sound quality and his refusal to compromise on standards. At home, he faces pressure from Umeko to compete individually, leading to a heated argument. The following day, Setsu apologizes to Shuri, and Koyabu recruits Seiryuu to guide the group. Setsu performs the competition piece, Shinbushi, with Seiryuu joining in to demonstrate harmonic capability. Although Seiryuu offers no direct advice, the club gains insight into synchronization by matching his simple playing. Eventually, the group achieves their first successful synchronized performance.

Shuri experiences a slump, while Setsu feels disconnected from helping her due to his own hometown concerns. Rai shares that Kaito quit soccer after a severe knee injury, prompting his father to push him toward law studies. Odawara educates the group on Tsugaru shamisen history by the Tsugaru Strait. Wakana questions Setsu’s participation in the individual competition, emphasizing the importance of the audience. Inspired by Setsu’s subsequent practice, Shuri regains her motivation. Before returning to Tokyo, the club performs Shinbushi flawlessly and attends the Nebuta festival.

Setsu leaves the venue to skip the opening ceremony and encounters Souichi, while Mai meets Yui in person for the first time. Following Umeko's stage show at the opening ceremony, the competition starts. Setsu returns as Kai scolds him for causing his teammates to worry. After several performances, the Osaka team led by Kaji Takaomi performs with perfect technique and synchronization, wowing the audience.
