When Metabee’s medal disappears, the group suspects theft but discovers Team France members can disguise themselves, complicating the search. The situation escalates when Team France kidnaps Karin, forcing Samantha to substitute as Space Medafighter X. However, just before the Robattle begins, the real Space Medafighter X, also known as Phantom Renegade, reveals he has swapped places with a Team France member. This deception causes Team France to forfeit the match, allowing Team Japan to advance automatically without fighting.
