While renovating a traditional house, Akari Haga observes unusual stains on a wall near her husband Akito. Accompanied by Conan, Haibara, and the Detective Boys, Akito inspects the area and discovers the skeleton of a female corpse, causing significant alarm among the group. During the subsequent police investigation, Conan notes that the victim was wearing pajamas at the time of death. He and his friends attempt to interview the current family regarding the property, but their inquiries yield little information as details about the previous owner remain obscure and unhelpful to the case.
