Ep. 21: TV Drama Murder Case on Location Involving Kogoro, Ran, and Conan

Okino Yoko invites Kogoro, Ran, and Conan to a TV drama set, where cast members including Nachi Shingo, Anzai Morio, and Taeko are present. After filming, Anzai Morio is found stabbed, leaving a dying message that Conan deciphers as "Nimaime," pointing to actor Nachi Shingo. Shingo admits to altering the message to avoid suspicion, but Conan notes the original name was written beneath it. Kogoro is tranquilized, allowing Conan to reveal that Taeko murdered Morio, who was blackmailing her for past crimes involving her grandfather's shrine. Taeko’s fiancé, Yuji, had disguised himself as Morio to alter the time of death and frame Shingo. Taeko confesses that Morio had been extorting her for information that led to a robbery and a supervisor's suicide.
