Sick Ran loses consciousness and recalls her time in New York with Shinichi. Yukiko Kudo takes them to see The Golden Apple musical on Broadway. There, they meet actress Sharon Vineyard and five performers who received a Golden Apple labeled "For the Fairest," which they suspect is a threat. During a theater tour, a medieval suit of armor is launched toward the group. Just before it strikes an actress, Ran pushes her out of the way to save her. This incident occurs while the group is visiting the venue where the musical is staged, highlighting the danger surrounding the performers and the mysterious nature of the received item.
