Kogorou investigates a haunting where exorcisms failed, triggered by a card threatening the fifth ghost will kill them unless they repent their sins. The master installed a secure door requiring a pin code and fingerprint scan to access the top floor. The master, lady, and installer are friends hiding a secret sin. Accidents occur on Butsumetsu day, the unluckiest day. On this day, the installer was found hanged on the third-floor balcony. The master was not home, meaning the door could not have been opened.
