Rockstar Roku Itakagi has been missing for several days. Takumi Hashiratani, a young boy, states that on New Year's Day he saw a man with a dark car and a nail on his arm carrying Itakagi in a bag. Takumi also recalls seeing a giant glowing hammer in the background before the man threw the victim over a bridge. Kogoro initially doubts the account but accepts it as truth after news reports confirm Itakagi's body was discovered in a bag floating in a river. Consequently, Kogoro, Ran, Conan, and Eiscope begin searching for the specific bridge where the body was discarded.
