Conan reveals that Tatsuhito Funemoto murdered his wife Kanyo by shooting her while she looked for a shooting star. He staged a robbery by hiding her pearl necklace in Setsubun beans, which his maid vacuumed up. This allowed Tatsuhito to retrieve the bag later and pawn the pearls. Conan proves his guilt by finding an onion on his wheelchair handle, taken from a kitchen glove containing fingerprints and gunpowder.
