Kogoro transports Ran and Conan to an onsen using a rental car secured through a special offer. Inspector Megure contacts Kogoro to report that a bomber threatened the police station, stating a device is hidden in the vehicle. The bomb is programmed to explode if the car's speed drops below 20 km/h. Faced with this lethal constraint, Kogoro deduces that the individual who provided the special deal is the perpetrator behind the threat. The group must now navigate the journey while maintaining a minimum velocity to survive the impending detonation.
