Eisuke rejects the idea that Rena is his sister, explaining that he received a blood transfusion from her and has type O blood, which cannot receive type AB. Conan suspects Eisuke has hidden motives for seeking Rena. The following day, Eisuke invites Ran and Sonoko to his former mansion to retrieve his mother's belongings. Kogoro is also present, hired to investigate a murder at the estate that happened a year prior. Inside, Eisuke finds his birth certificate, verifying his type O status. Meanwhile, Kogoro speaks with the mansion owner, Kakuzo Okudaira, about the death of his son, Tango Okudaira. Kakuzo tells Kogoro that he suspects the killer is one of three people currently residing in the mansion.
