Conan, Kogoro, Ran, and Sonoko visit a tea house where a gothic lolita girl orders water and leaves. Ten minutes later, Yuika Shoudou arrives to meet her. While shopping, thieves attempt to steal their bags by spilling ice cream on Ran and Sonoko, but Conan foils the attack. The girls change clothes in a public restroom and discover the body of Mihiro Kuze, the gothic girl. Kuze’s phone shows calls from Shoudou, but police rule Shoudou innocent because the thirty-minute distance between the tea house and restroom makes the timeline impossible. Conan suspects the initial gothic girl was an imposter using fashion to hide her identity.
