Actor Harnison Noble receives a death threat regarding his role as Jinnai. Richard accepts the case and meets Vivica Jasmine, Murisa Noble, and Olson Allibaster. During a media event at a park, Jinnai appears eerily before Harnison is found shot dead in his condo. Vivica is also targeted by the killer. Conan discovers a looping stereo, unrolled vinyl tape, and a fax message. He tranquilizes Richard and reveals Vivica as the killer. She used a silenced gun and a pre-recorded gunshot to fake the time of death, creating a false silhouette. Her plan failed because the recording looped, contradicting her alibi, and Harnison’s blood stained an earlier fax. Vivica confessed that Harnison had sabotaged a stunt set for her lover during a Jinnai movie, causing his death.
