The detectives track down Hamanaka, who identifies himself as a "Modern Moriarity" and admits to selling these crime novel-style plots. He is arrested for abetting crime. Under pressure from Detective Sato, Hamanaka discusses his involvement but notes that the suspect for the "Takashi Ishigami Review Plan" remains missing from the current investigation.
