Ep. 5: Tsubasa confronts the tiger spirit Kako and confesses her feelings to Koyomi.

Tsubasa writes to the cat spirit, acknowledging that the tiger spirit Kako embodies her repressed jealousy. She resolves to accept these negative emotions and asks for their return. As Kako attempts to burn Hitagi's apartment, Tsubasa intervenes to stall the entity until Koyomi arrives to defeat it using Heartspan. Before absorbing both spirits, Tsubasa confesses her love to Koyomi, who rejects her in favor of Hitagi. Following this, her family rents a new house. It is revealed that Tsubasa’s hair has developed white stripes resembling a tiger, which she dyes black to conceal. She has finally requested her own room, signaling her acceptance as a genuine member of her family.
