Ep. 8: Koyomi attempts to save Mayoi from her fate but alters history leading to global destruction

Koyomi travels back to the day before Mayoi’s death to prevent her transformation into a ghost. He and Shinobu encounter a suspicious six-year-old Tsubasa, who directs them to a police station to find Mayoi’s address. They return the next day to guide her to her mother’s house, but her father reveals she left early. Koyomi eventually finds Mayoi at their original meeting spot. After initially frightening her, he saves her from a truck, successfully preventing her death. However, upon returning to the present, Koyomi discovers that his intervention drastically changed history, ultimately causing the destruction of the world.
