Ep. 7: Koyomi searches for Mayoi while Yotsugi reveals her past and Shinobu opens a time portal

On the final day of summer vacation, Koyomi seeks Mayoi to return her forgotten backpack. He encounters Yotsugi, who explains she was revived by Yuzuru as a shikigami after dying, unlike Koyomi’s immortality or Mayoi’s ghostly state. With Mayoi missing, Koyomi returns home, troubled by Yotsugi’s words. Shinobu reminds him of his looming homework deadline. Wondering if he can reverse time to complete his assignments, Koyomi is surprised when Shinobu confirms this is possible. They travel through a portal at an abandoned temple, intending to reach the previous day. However, they soon realize they have accidentally traveled eleven years into the past instead of just one day back.
