Nanaka returns to her seventeen-year-old form but continues accompanying Kenji on their journey to Kyoto. She remains indifferent to her classmates' dislike of her mature personality. However, sadness strikes when she overhears Nenji expressing similar frustrations to Amemiya, prompting her to flee to a temple in Kyoto. Nenji follows her, and the two discuss the challenges of growing up. During their conversation, Nanaka faints. Upon waking, she has reverted to being six years old again.
