Sasuke attacks Itachi with the Lightning jutsu Kirin, but Itachi counters using his ultimate Mangekyo Sharingan ability, Susano'o. Weakened by the exchange, Sasuke is vulnerable to Orochimaru, who breaks free from his chakra seal to possess Sasuke's body. Itachi intervenes by sealing Orochimaru into another dimension, thereby removing the Curse Mark from Sasuke. With no techniques remaining, Sasuke is defenseless before his brother. However, instead of killing him, Itachi gently taps Sasuke on the forehead before collapsing and dying, ending their confrontation. This event concludes the Fated Battle Between Brothers arc, specifically marking the fifth installment of ten in the series.
