Years after Team 7’s first mission, Naruto returns for a ramen coupon left with Inari, prompting Sasuke to chase him. Inari discovers the coupon and seeks Naruto but is captured by Gatou’s subordinates aiming to restore their criminal empire. Inari escapes and lures the kidnappers away to allow Naruto and Sasuke to reach the village. The duo finds signs of the struggle and rescues Inari just in time, resulting in the capture of the attackers, though the coupon is lost. In the present, following Nagato’s defeat, Naruto and Sakura encounter Tazuna and an older Inari. They observe Inari and his former bullies assisting in the reconstruction of the Hidden Leaf Village.
