Sakura tries to free Naruto from his vow to retrieve Sasuke by falsely claiming she loves him and has abandoned their team. Naruto sees through this deception as Sakura departs with Kiba, Lee, and Sai to hunt Sasuke. Concurrently, Ay is elected leader of the First Shinobi Alliance after Mifune deems him safe due to Killer Bee's survival. Ay leaves to discipline his brother while other Kage meet feudal lords to announce the changes. Meanwhile, Killer Bee meets Kin to learn Enka but is interrupted by Kisame, sparking a fight. Samehada drains Bee's chakra and grows larger, allowing Kisame to formally introduce himself to both Kin and Bee during the conflict.
