Kakashi orders Sai to retrieve Sakura while Yamato escorts a panicked Naruto back to the village. Naruto collapses after learning his friends intend to kill Sasuke. Meanwhile, Sasuke attacks Danzo with Susano'o, enraged by Danzo's assumption that he learned the Uchiha massacre truth from Itachi. Danzo survives the crushing blow and engages Sasuke in combat. Sasuke's Amaterasu proves ineffective as Danzo recovers from lethal injuries using a unique technique that is neither cloning nor genjutsu. Karin observes a Sharingan on Danzo's arm close after being severed. In response, Sasuke traps Danzo in a genjutsu featuring Itachi's image, continuing their intense confrontation during the Five Kage Summit arc.
