Ep. 289: Guy and Kakashi rush to aid forces battling Ameyuri Ringo while her unit faces destruction.
Guy and Kakashi redirect their forces to assist a unit engaged with Ameyuri Ringo. Meanwhile, Ameyuri decimates Yurui’s squad, leaving only a few survivors under new leader Nurui. Believing escape is the only option against this member of the Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist, Nurui orders a retreat. Omoi refuses to flee, arguing for a stand, and confronts Ameyuri alone. He is swiftly overpowered, prompting Nurui and Kayui to intervene and distract her. After they are incapacitated, Omoi draws Ameyuri away again. She attempts to use Lightning Release: Depth Charge, but the ground collapses into quicksand, trapping them. The Third Division arrives to rescue Omoi. Ameyuri, noting she saved the best for last, gifts Omoi the Fang blade and declares she will await him in the afterlife.
