Kabuto recalls meeting Orochimaru after aiding wounded Leaf Ninja, where the Sannin saw potential in him despite his lack of ninja ambition. Blackmailed by Danzo, Kabuto was forced into Root’s service, infiltrating the Five Great Shinobi Nations. During a mission in the Stone Village, he fatally wounded Nonou, who failed to recognize him, causing him to flee in shock until Orochimaru found him. Orochimaru revealed Root’s plot to silence them and offered Kabuto a place as his right hand, promising a true identity. After Orochimaru’s defeat by Sasuke, Kabuto literally followed this advice by injecting himself with various blood samples to forge his own self.
