Ep. 340: Sasuke finds Suigetsu and Juugo after Itachi departs while Madara possesses Tsunade
Sasuke feels conflicted after watching Itachi’s soul return to the afterlife before encountering Suigetsu and Juugo. As reanimated ninja fade away, the Kage are mystified, with Oonoki calling the responsible party a true hero. Madara attacks, but Tsunade is saved by Dan, who uses his Ghost Transformation jutsu to possess her ascending soul, grant her closure, and restore her Reserve Seal with his chakra. Tsunade joins the other Kage, who discover Madara remains alive. He reveals he exploited the Reanimation Jutsu’s flaw to rescind the contract and escape his caster’s control, yet the Kage refuse to back down. Meanwhile, Naruto realizes Itachi succeeded. Tobi admits he was forced to act, feeding the Benihisago and Sealing Urn to the Gedo Statue, which begins screaming.
