Kabuto discards Itachi’s advice, revealing he absorbed more than Orochimaru’s DNA. He summons a Sakon-like construct from his navel to wield the Sound Five’s abilities. Initially, Itachi and Sasuke repel these attacks, but they soon fall into Tayuya’s genjutsu, allowing Kabuto to deploy a white snake Orochimaru construct for a finishing blow. The brothers escape the illusion and defeat the snake, yet Kabuto emerges from its mouth. He bisects Itachi, declaring his superiority before trying to control reanimated ninja. As Itachi reforms, he throws his sword at Kabuto, who blocks and counters, claiming immunity to genjutsu. However, Kabuto recognizes a familiar pattern in the brothers’ actions. Realizing the déjà vu, he understands he is trapped in the endless loop of the Uchiha Clan’s Izanami genjutsu, rendering his claimed immunity useless against this specific technique.
