Ep. 338: Itachi Explains Izanami's Purpose to Sasuke While Kabuto Remains Trapped

Kabuto remains trapped within Izanami's infinite loop, allowing Sasuke to question his brother about the technique. Itachi explains that Izanami was created as a counter to Izanagi, forcing users to accept their fate to escape. Sasuke becomes angry that Itachi provided an escape route and questions his motives. Itachi states he wanted to give Kabuto a chance to accept his destiny. Sasuke claims Itachi is perfect and unlike Kabuto, but the elder Uchiha refutes this. Meanwhile, in a distant forest, an adult Urushi tells a comrade he hopes Kabuto will be waiting when he returns home. Back at the cave, Itachi prepares to end the Reanimation jutsu.
