Ep. 369: Madara Leaves Konoha After Hashirama Rejects His Leadership Ambitions
Aired on July 24, 2014

369
Following the alliance between the Uchiha and Senju clans, the village Hashirama and Madara dreamed of is established and joins the Land of Fire. Tobirama opposes his brother’s plan to make Madara Hokage, arguing that democratic processes and Uchiha sentiments prevent Madara from being viewed as favorably as Hashirama. Madara takes Hashirama to the Naka Shrine to announce his intention to depart. Despite Hashirama’s unsuccessful attempts to persuade him to stay, Madara leaves Konoha. Once outside the village, he attacks it, ultimately destroying the dream they once shared together.
