After Asuma beheads Hidan, the immortal ninja remains conscious but paralyzed. Kakuzu utilizes his body threads to reattach Hidan’s severed head to his torso. When Izumo and Kotetsu attempt to intervene, Kakuzu ensnares both shinobi with his threads, restraining and suffocating them to prevent interference. Now mobile, Hidan rejoins the ritual circle and impales himself with his scythe blades. He then drives a spike into his own chest, transferring the fatal wound to Asuma through their shared curse link, thereby completing the sacrificial ritual.
