Ep. 1: Sariphi is taken to Ozmargo as a sacrifice and meets King Leonhart

Sariphi is transported in chains to the Kingdom of Beasts, Ozmargo, to serve as a ritual sacrifice. The King observes her lack of fear and rudeness toward Chancellor Anubis, noting her name means sacrifice. She was raised by adoptive parents to replace their deceased daughter. The King treats her as a guest during a tour of a border town free from poisonous miasma. On the night of the ritual, an assassin attacks the King, who reveals himself as half-human. He suffers guilt over his deception and uses a rare moonlit night to fake the sacrifices' deaths by cutting himself. He breaks Sariphi's chains and declares her his Queen, outraging his court. She names him Leonhart, meaning brave heart, which he accepts.
