Sariphi discovers Leonhart’s mother was hidden as a beast and encounters Vivian, the Cat princess, who seeks to marry or concubine him. After witnessing Vivian’s failed seduction attempt, Sariphi feels jealous and misses Leonhart ejecting her. She befriends Amit, an exiled Reptilian princess hoping to unite with Leonhart. Amit confesses her childhood love for Jormungand, the Reptilian guard captain, upon his return. During a banquet, Vivian’s allies destroy Amit’s dress, but Sariphi lends her an attention-grabbing gown, delighting Jormungand. Vivian later threatens Sariphi while plotting to control Leonhart. Amit defends Sariphi, prompting Leonhart to angrily expel Vivian. Leonhart appoints Amit as Sariphi’s assistant and declares he desires no concubines, wanting only Sariphi, which deeply affects her.
