Yukine struggles to adapt to his position as Yato's Regalia, leading Yato to reprimand him for harboring inappropriate thoughts regarding Hiyori. Yato clarifies that they share a single mind and body, necessitating proper conduct. Subsequently, the trio is summoned by the God of Learning, Lord Tenjin, who has recently adopted Tomone, now known as Mayu, as a new Regalia. Tenjin tasks Yato with eliminating phantoms appearing near a railway track. During the battle, the group confronts a destructive storm. Yato and Yukine successfully destroy this entity, preventing it from forcing a schoolboy to walk into the path of an oncoming train, thereby averting a potential tragedy.
