Rikuo and the Night Parade fail to defeat Tsuchigumo despite repeated attempts. Rikuo persists in battle even after dawn turns him human. Impressed by their resolve, Tsuchigumo retreats to Sokokuji Temple, kidnapping Tsurara to lure Rikuo. Meanwhile, Hagoromo Gitsune enters Nuegaike Pond at the Nijo Castle area, where the last seal remains unbroken. Gyuki and the Great Tengu of Mount Kurama arrive in Kyoto to train Rikuo for the impending conflict.
