Ep. 18: Rikuo leads the counterattack to rescue Tsurara from Tsuchigumo at Sokokuji Temple

Having mastered the Matoi technique, Rikuo joins the allied counterattack to retake the Seieji, Nishihoganji, and Rokukinji temples, which serve as the fifth, fourth, and third seals. The group then proceeds to Sokokuji Temple, the second seal, to save Tsurara. She attempts suicide due to despair, but Rikuo arrives just in time to stop her. Gaining her trust, they fight together using the Matoi technique and manage to sever one of Tsuchigumo's arms. The spider remains unfazed, sealing the area and attacking repeatedly. Rikuo avoids the assault while Tsurara, Zen, and the Tono yōkai leap over the barrier to provide assistance.
